Only opening one web page at a time?

Suddenly I find Internet Explorer 6.0 is only opening one web page at a time? Is this anything to do with latest updates? I have automatic updates set. Or has some other setting been re-set on my PC?

What do you mean by "one website at a time"?

I think he means that when he is on the internet and clicks a link to another site or types in the URL for another site , another window does not open , the new site being visited 'takes over' the window already open , a seperate window does not open so basically you only ever have the one window open.

Well I think that is what Templar1961 is saying !

If what curlylad is saying is what you mean, then you have got a pop-up blocker active...

Yes! I haven't installed a pop up blocker? Just installed automatic updates.

There may also be a corrupt registry file or you have customised windows to do this....

If you try to open two browsers, then what happens (opening one and then opening anothe both through "Start->Interent")

What happens if you press CTRL + N together?

Someone had downloaded Yahoo programs - I deleted Yahoo toolbar (left the rest) and problem solved. Thanks to all respondents!
