Online Gaming question

I wish to play a Flight sim game Online through, but am a little concerned at the potential security issues with doing so.

Can Viruses, Trojans and Ad/Spy-ware be passed between PC's in doing so? and secondly in order to play online I have to give Server privilege within Zone Alarm. Surely that is a massive security risk?

Or am I being too cautious?

You would be very unlucky to get avirus from playing online games, you are not actually connected to the other peoples pcs they rout you thru a server and it would be unlickly they didnt have virus protection, and you will need to give server permission for the game or if you wont to start the game up and create a server running from your pc.Having said that its not impossable to catch things but if you have a firewall and virus protection you should be just fine, its a great way to play go for it.

Thanks for the advice. A little more practice and I'll give it a go!
