One printer - two desktops

  jack 14:38 28 Aug 09

I am changing stuff around, and in so doing have installed a second desktop for dedicated graphics work- which will not be connected to the internet.
I have also disposed of my last inkjet printer and relying on the colour laser for both machines.
The colour laser has one USB input.
Question is then how can I connect both PC's to the one printer.
I do not intend to use both PC's together but would like to avoid swapping the connection back and forth.

Either network your PC's, or Google a USB switch where you wire both PC's into the switch and one wire to the printer. There is then a button or dial on the switch and you press it to link the printer to the relevant PC

Now know what to do- I had lurking an old parallel
