The third disks in a ten disk audio book from local library fails to play. The display on the layer shows zero tracks compared to the 25 or so.

Can it be assumed

to faulty,or can it be made to play?

The player is a cheap 'boom box'

try giving it a god clean

or put it in your PC and try there, if readable rip to mediad player and reburn back as cd.

Thank you FB

Cleaned both disk and laser, made no difference

Played in computer. Worked OK bin the 'banshee'audiobook mode'

So listened to it there.

But the mystery remains the 'boom box' won't play must that one.
