Older virus?

After re-loading an early copy of Windows XP on a friend's PC, It seems to have contracted a virus as soon as I went on the web. It just comes up warning the PC will shut down in sixty seconds. There doesn't seem to be any .exe files listed, just the words NT System/Administration (I think). Any ideas what it is?
Many Thanks.

Sounds like the blaster worm that infected svchost.exe - tends to cause machines to shutdown without any real explanation, only a 60 second warning...
