Old chkdsk files

spent 2 days trying to sort my desktop Win ME and have been downloading stuff for it on laptop XP Home.
Just run disk cleanup on the XP and it shows 5424KB of "Old Chkdsk files".
Should I leave them alone, or could they be deleted?

Delete them - they're file fragments that were saved when running chkdsk, when fixing errors - vanishingly unlikely to be of use to you, or even identifiable.
