My son has a need to carry out a historical research.
I sorted through my old CD's which came with magazine previously -issue 44 - May 1999.
Now I run XP for windows, these will not read!
Is there a way round this?

Error message - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32AUTOEXEC.NT
The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows applications.

If this is the case ALL my Free cd's are of no use to me !!

You may also find that certain other older type disks may refuse to run initially. In XP there is a compatibilty programme which you could try.
