Old Amstrad Floppy Disc

  blue_cafe 11:53 08 Oct 03

I'm looking for a 'reader' that I can use to transfer my old Amstrad files onto my current PC hard drive..... probably similar to a digi camera 'card reader'.... does anyone know of any such hardware? Also software to use for the transfer of these files to my hard drive...thanks.

These disks were a dedicated 3in type and I very much doubt if you would be able to find a card reader for them as they were originally available in the late 80s/early 90s.

The software was by Locomotion - might be worth a search using either Amstrad 8256 or 8512 on google or, alternatively, an enthusiasts' website.

Two or three years ago the Daily Telegraph's Connect supplement ran at least one major story about these particular Amstrad models - again might be worth searching the click here website.....
