Office XP Activation

I want to change the computer where I have installed Office XP (student licence). How do I do this if it is already activated on the first computer. Can I just uninstall and then reinstall on the new computer? Have Microsoft issued guidelines on reactivation - I couldn't find anything on their web site. Thanks a lot for any help.

Yes it will activate on your second machine. You are allowed to have Office on two PC's at the same time, [3 with the new office 2003] if they both belong to you. j.

I thought Office XP was only allowed on one computer - can anyone confirm this?

I have confirmed this for you in my post above.

Microsoft operating systems. 98 98se me 2000 XP are 1 PC 1 operating system.

Office products are 1 copy 2 machines, as long as they both belong to you and are being used by you. with the new office 2003 it has been extended to 3 machines.

Leave your office on your first PC and install on your second PC then activate. It will go through, and is allowed by Microsoft. j.
