OE6 Emails With Missing Graphics

  David4637 13:24 12 Nov 09

I get some legitimate emails with small graphics contained in a box - a logo type of thing. No problem. However if I close down OE, and open the same email the next day, the graphic logo boxes have only a red cross in them. Why is this? Its not disasterous, but I would like to know how to cure it. Thanks David

i think you will have to click on "always allow images and links for this sender"

Which tab shows the above in OE?

i don't use outlook but if you open one of the emails there should be a link to display pictures and enable links for the said sender.

sorry next to that there should be something like "click to allways display pictures and enable links from this sender"

Don't think so in Outlook Express.

But if you open OE - go to Tools - Options - Security tab and make sure 'Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail' is NOT ticked - Apply and OK.

Thanks for your replies.
Went to Tools - Options - Security tab and make sure 'Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail' is NOT ticked - It was not ticked? Any further ideas why the images in the boxes end up with a red cross?? Thanks David

Then it's possible that the sender is not sending the pics with the email

just read one possible fix is to check the box and save then leave and then reopen and uncheck the box again and save.

Thanks for replies. The pictures in boxes come with the email, its when I close OE and open it up say on the next day that the pictures are replaced with red crosses.
Will try ticking the check box then unticking it.
Will report back. Thanks David
