OE will not retrieve my mail

Is there a problem for emails being retrieved by outlok express. It has been working fine and today it is jacking on me. This Mydoom virus has me alittle concerned as didn't that start today??

Anyone else having probs with OE or canthey offer advice.

NB. Neither of my accounts have been changed in anyway

Which ISP - they may have server problems.

in OE go to tools>accounts>mail tab

now click on your e-mail account and select properties then select the servers tab

Is the incoming pop3 correct and username correct?

Am using Freeserve to connect and have email in both freeserve and Yahoo.

POP 3 , username and passwords are the same as usual and were wroking yesterday. In addition the odd time one has failed to work but never have both failed.

Check your Port settings are incomming = 110 & outgoing is 25 These are sometimes reset to other figures by dialup boosters like Onspeed etc

This happens with Freeserve. Usually going to their website and retrieving account will fix it.

Make sure the settings read smtp.freeserve.com and pop.freeserve.com

Some time back Freeserve seemed to used to allow .com or .net to connect, but now it seems they only use .com

So if setting says smtp.freeserve.net change it to smtp.freeserve.com
