Nvidia TI 4400 - cannot load drivers?

  FCD 15:35 24 Apr 04

I have run a dual boot Win 98SE/XP system for over a year with a TI 4400 card and have had no problems in updating drivers. However, when I booted to Win 98 this am [to look at a specific file], I found that I had a major graphics problem. In the end, by deleting all reference to Nvidia drivers, I can boot up Win 98 using the Standard PCI Driver [VGA]. However, when I try to load any Nvidia drivers, when I reboot the system, Win 98 starts to load, I then get a blank screen with a General Protection Fault message referring to a problem IFSMGR device.

{XP boots up with no problems using the Nvidia drivers I have had in for 2 weeks]

Grateful for any help in resolving this for Win 98 without a complete OS re-install.

Many thanks
