Have a Geforce FX 5200, have just downloaded latest driver from nvidia website. Installed driver no probs but after second restart I keep getting a windows error message when I enter the display settings. It states that the NVIDIA extension could not be created and there is a version mismatch. It recommends reinstallation which I have tried to no avail. Am running XP Home with Service Pack 2 any ideas?

just a thought, have you upgraded windows direct X to version 9.0c?
the latest drivers will be looking for this.

I run Geforce FX 5200 (SP2) have had no probs when you reinstall you need to completely uninstall any drivers you may have as the conflict may lay there

I have the same card as you and it does work
OK with sp2. I did load sp2 after the nvida
driver though.

I do remember once having a problem with the
driver on a XP re-install and had to redo the driver. It might be worth deleting the driver
and trying again.
