Nuisance Yahoo

I cannot get rid of Yahoo in my Chrome & IE browsers. I've tried all the settings I can find in Chrome Settings & in IE Internet Explorer settings. I re-set to turn off Yahoo or disable it, change default settings & etc etc but still Yahoo insists on being there. I uninstalled Chrome & re-installed it but still it comes up as a second tab behind the Chrome browser. It's invasive & very annoying. I'm running XP SP3(Until April 2104 anyway). I tried uninstalling IE to allow reinstall but cannot find an uninstall option, even in Control Panel Uninstall Programmes. Can anyone advise.

IE is part of Windows XP. But your problem probably will not be solved by uninstalling or reinstalling either browser.
