NTLworld Virus scam

  Rogerfredo 11:52 21 Mar 04

I have just done a very stupid thing- I received an email purporting to come from ntlworld and addressed to me, which stated that an attachment carried important information about a virus scam taking place.
Rather than open the attachment, I saved it so that I could scan it, but the act of saving it was sufficient to activate a virus, which closed down the pc.
The virus was a worm named bagle.
You have been warned!
PS AVG successfully removed this.
