ntl and sweex router need to secure network

I have ntl cable and a wireless sweex router. All are working a laptop connected by cable and a laptop connected wirelessly. However wireless connection says open unsecured network. The routers wizard is beyond me and I cannot find anywhere how to secure my wireless connection. I tried the wireless connection wizard and got hopelessly lost. How do I make the connection secure so no one else can use it outside the house.

Normally you would log into the router (usually via 192.168.0.1 or similar) and enable WEP or WPA security, then finish by configuring it on the PCs/ laptop.
