ntl modem

Hello folks
I was trying to get a wireless system going. I have been using a ntl modem 250. I have been connected by usb port. My modem also can connect by ethernet, which I have to do to connect to my router. When I take the usb connection out and put in the ethernet connection its not working.
How do I get the pc to find my cable modem?
Maybe its something to do with LAN settings. Anybody know how to change from USB to ethernet from the same modem?

If you are now going to use Ethernet I think you will need to uninstall NTL as it will still be trying to connect via the USB connection. You can then reinstall it using Ethernet.
