NTL forgets dial-up numbers

My neighbour has Windows 98SE, and NTL dial-up internet. Recently, the stored numbers and password have been going walk-about, meaning she has to re-enter them to log on.

This in itself was a problem at first, until the helpline advised us how to do it - you have to right click the blue title bar to reveal the 'Unlock' command.

Any thoughts, please?

Do a search for *.pwl and delete any instances of it that are found - then reboot and enter the passwords. They should be saved after this.

Thanks, that sounds plausible.
