Hi I have a desktop and laptop PC. Ntl BB comes to the desktop via an ethernet strasight cable into a Planet 5 port hub.
The Lptop connection works as on all the usual swops but not IE or OE. I just cannot get a connection. I have spent 4 hours on the phone to NTL support and the twice I have been connected as soon as I explain the problem I get cut off.
Any ideas please, other than sack NTL
Cheers

Hi, I think a router is required rather than a hub/switch. Ntl broadband can only talk to one IP address. The router has its own IP address for ntl to talk to, prior to it being split between several PC's. Try the following ntl link:

No,Cable to hub,hub splits into two,one to desktop and one to laptop. I have an IP address for the desktop but now can't get one for the laptop.
