Just loaded XP home and when trying to conect to web I get a message saying NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM is closing down C:\system32\lsass.exe computor then reboots any ideas thank you

Is this an upgrade from a system that was working ok, or have you installed XP fresh....TT

Courtesy of VoG's post. If you type the below into the run box it will give you time to download the patch from Microsoft then use stinger to remove.

Don't forget to turn off system restore before running stinger otherwise it will come back again. Once removed and patched turn system restore back on.

Start, Run, type in

shutdown -a

and click OK. That should prevent it from rebooting.
