Notepad files not appearing via explorer

  newface 19:48 11 Apr 09

If I click on a folder where I know there are .txt files, explorer says that the folder is empty. I can only access them via file/open etc in notepad.
Any ideas how to remedy this?

Could be lack of accociation. Go to start/control panel, folder options, scroll down to TXT and it should say 'opens with notepad'. If it is missing click on the new button, type in TXT and then ok. You can change it to another program using the change button if you wish.

accociation = association. Must fix this keyboard!

Thanks for your reply wiz-king. I have done what you suggested and the association for .txt files is set to open with notepad already.
