After doing a scan on my computer(xp home)using a mwav virus scan the above virus was found it was not found by avg running on my conmputer.As ido not have the full programm it would not delate it.It is in c/system volume information/restore.Can you please tell me how to get rid of it.

Turn off system restore

delete old restore points

turn on system restore

create a new restore point

Turning off system restore automatically deletes previous restore points.

I have turned off system restore,rebooted in safe mode and run ad-aware se,spybot sd,c cleaner,microsoft antispywere,reg cleaner,spywere blaster,spywere guard,regscrub,regedit and avg 7.None found the virus.and it still there.

thank you i do not seem to be able to connect in safe mode networking i have a dial up modum.But i will try the scan in normal mode.
