My son & daughter, through constant use and updating of MSN Messenger and Ares have let the world and his dog install all kinds of rubbish on this PC ...

I have Spybot S&D, Spysweeper, Outpost Firewall, Ad-Aware, SpyHunter and many more running, but still I get spyware & adware on here ... although most of it is "fairly" harmless, my son clicked on a YES the other night and I've spent 2 days clearing up ...

Now ... having run a dozen different on-line virus scans (and finding that they all find more than my AVG software does !!!), I seem to be down to the following ...

Adware:Adware/KeenValue C:\WINNT\Downloaded Program Files\imloader.exe

Adware:Adware/Zango C:\WINNT\Downloaded Program Files\ZangoInstaller.dll

Adware:Adware/nCase C:\WINNT\Downloaded Program Files\Zangolib.dll

BUT ... if I go to that folder, even with "show hidden files and folders" set on, these files do NOT exist ...

If I run a Search, they don't, apparently, exist on my PC !!!

So why does Panda ActiveScan tell me that they are 3 infected files ?!?!?

Ta. Please await a *real* expert - Nellie2 or equivalent.

  Heefie 22:56 17 Apr 05

In the meantime, Stalion, I've already got SpyWareBlaster running, am having trouble getting a response from A2, but am running the Microsoft program now & it's just finished with 6 problems (every single program I run produces a different result !!!) ... and one of them is Zango ... I'll follow it's instructions and see where we go next ... I'm heading for a bloody civorce at this rate <g> !!!

  Heefie 22:56 17 Apr 05

  stalion 22:58 17 Apr 05
