Just how far do you get? Do you get any lights? Do you hear the drives kick in? Any signs of life at all?

this happened to me recently, the pc would not power up but just gave continuous long bios beeps, turned out to be faulty RAM, when it was replaced all was well.

getting nothing at all

no life at all left for ten minutes and it come on then after having switched off power completely and checked all cables.

That's the point where I usually ask if it's plugged in! It sounds horribly like a loose wire, which could be anywhere, but it's most likely an external cable. Do you have a spare mains lead you could try it with?

Don,t have a spare mains lead to try.

Try using a kettle lead as a temp way to resolve/eliminate the power lead

don,t have a suitable kettle lead
