Anyway to get rid of this, I've removed Norton from add / remove, this reminder is not listed in add / remove but keeps coming up on start up.

On the page, it has a "Do Not Remind Me Again" I've clicked on it but it don't work because it keeps reminding me!!!

What OS? If XP, then Start > Run > Type msconfig & press OK. On the Startup tab, untick the entry corresponding to this (& all other Norton/Symantec-related items if present) & reboot. G

I forgot to mention, before posting I tried Google for Norton Removal Tool, Google gave the one on the site within your link, it hasn't removed the reminder tho.

One of those days at work, sorry bout this, it's OS windows 7

Appears to be similar in Win7 click here.

We'll need to see where it is in the Registry in order to permanently remove it if you need to. G

I've disabled it now crossbow via MSCONFIG

  GaT7 18:26 02 Feb 10

That's good. Did it work?

What's the exact name of this entry (or entries) under the Startup Item column? G

  Molly_Don 18:42 02 Feb 10

It worked crossbow, the name showing under start up item is: Norton Online Backup

  GaT7 18:50 02 Feb 10

Right, would you like to remove it permanently?

It would need a little bit of Registry editing. G

If it's not straight forward I'll leave it as it is G, it's disabled for now, i'm just getting used to 7, rather not mess around with anything until I'm familiar with 7
