Norton live update / WinXP

  Diver14 11:08 01 Feb 03

I've just loaded winXP onto a bare drive and added SP1. When I installed Norton Anti -Virus 2003 all went well apart from an error saying Live update could not install. I've just downloaded the lastest version of live update from the web and tried to install but have the following error: -

Error 14 Live update could not install as long filenames are not enabled.

I'm puzzled - I've not tweeked anything.

Any ideas?

Many thanks that was exactly the answer.

I did have a look at the symantec site but obviously not good enough.

Once again - many thanks for your help.
