Norton Internet Security & Outlook problems

Since last updating my virus definitions with Norton Internet Secutiry 2005 last week, I've not been able to send/receive emails. The only work-a-round is to disable norton temporarily. When I do this, I don't have a problem - but it defeats the object somewhat of having anti-virus software!

I've tried using LiveUpdate again to see if there's anything else to download or update, but I always get the message that my system is up to date.

Anyone got any other ideas? I've had problems with Norton before and am now wondering whether to change to McAfee instead?

Update your virus checker from the Norton Updater on web page: click here

I had the same problem many months ago and never solved what actually had gone wrong, but this resolved my problem of keeping my system protected

You beat me to it!
I have been in contact with Symantec and suggested that it is high time that they sorted this out,I am aware of the problem/bug for over a year!
