NIS 2009 has a tamper protection module which prevents Windows system restore from working, even in safe mode. You can turn this feature off temporarily, so that a restore can be done, but this often screws up NIS completely, requiring a complete uninstall/re-install - quite long-winded.
Does anyone know how to avoid this NIS re-install after a restore?
