I have just changed to NIS 2005 from NIS 2004. I found NIS 2004 was a system hog and slowed the pc down. NIS 2005 does not and the Spam filtering is better.

It is about £20 for the subscription, you would be better of buying NIS 2005 from PC World, they have NIS 2005 with go back for £24.99, it is on offer at the moment.

I went from Norton NIS 2003 straight to 2005, skipping 2004. After I'd advised someone to get NIS 2005 from PC World, he told me that he got the last one on the shelves! 2005 has a bit more functions than 2003 did so is more of an incremental step than 2004 was. It also takes up less resources and is specifically configured to take account of Windows XP SP2.

So if you are on Windows XP, it would be best to go for 2005 rather than just pay another years subs on 2003.
