k ive just installed windows with sp1 and all updates from microsoft i also got all my drivers installed. Ive created a ghost image of my c: which is on my other partition its 1.7gb. K im going to burn this onto a dvd-r disk for save keeping. im not 100% how to restore this image if my hard drive ever goes down. Do i simple boot from the dvd with the ghost image on??? or do i need to create a ghost boot disk and load it that way??

I use a bootable floppy and then run Norton Ghost from the CD:

from the A command I type

e:\ghost\ghostPE

which starts up the ghost program and asks me about the location of the image.
