Norton Ghost

I have recently been forced to make the change to Vista by the spectacular demise of my XP loaded PC. Fortunately the files on the boot HDD were undamaged and I had an Ghost image recently made on a backup HDD. I am happy with both the new (SATA equipped) Evesham PC and Vista but I am concerned that my 2002 Norton Ghost program is now unsuitable for the OS. Anyway, I should like to use a up-to-date version of Ghost.
I understand that Ghost V10 is the most recent but is only advised up to XP. Is this true – can I use it to provide me with disk image backups?
If not, is there other software I can use?
