Norton full scan stops at same place

Windows XP professional. Each time I run a full scan with Norton 2002 it always stops without explanation at C:\windows\system 32\dllcache.
I downloaded AVG and it did exectly the same thing

Some folders are quite large and a considerable time is required to scan them. If I remember I have noticed that mine pauses a while on the dll's, however, not so long as I would say. It has stopped, say 4 or 5 minutes at most.

Hi, I had a similar problem with Norton, in that it always stopped on a particular cab file. I resolved this by deleting the particular file and reinstating it from my Windows CD. No scanning problems since. I guess the file was corrupted.
