WinMe

Each boot up is faced with the message NAV "Unable to initialise the virus scanning engine database file."

Then it freezes.

This occurred after a System Restore.

Have you tried a reinstall of NAV?

Usually sorts out any problems

These error messages can also occur after running Windows Me System Restore and then restarting the computer. The errors can also happen after downloading virus definitions with LiveUpdate.ETC.ETC.

I can't boot normally because of the above. I can't get into Safe Mode YET. Once in Safe Mode i can uninstall and reinstall NAV.
