Norton AV 2006

I have NAV 2006 running on XP. When I ran Liveupdate I got a message 'Liveupdate was unable to access the file it downloaded'. Reran same result.
Checked Symantec and ran recovery as suggested.
When I run Liveupdate now I do not get the error message.
But when I left click on Liveupdate the status window reads:
"The following Symantec products and components are installed on your computer.
> LiveUpdate"
Would someone tell me if this is correct please as I thought that Antivirus (or something similar) should show up in the list.

Would someone please just run NAV 2006 Live Update and tell me what appears in the 'Symantec products and components' list.

Live update shows a list of all the Norton bits that are updated.

Norton Antivirus is the first item on the list

Thanks Chris123. Something wrong with my NAV then.

It appears that certain worm infections can also produce this problem.

Try updating manually and see if that works.
