Norton Antivirus/Startup

  rosie 09:03 14 Sep 05

I have Norton Antivirus installed, running Windows XP. On start up I get a ballooned message that my computer is at risk because I'm not running anti-virus. This only lasts until the startup is complete, i.e. until the last programme, which is Get Right download programme, has been loaded - then it seems anti-virus is recognised. Is there anything I can do to stop this annoyance?

Within the control panel and security centre, tell Windows not to inform you about presence / absence of an AV program.
