Norton Antivirus purchased with Windows 98SE three years ago is rejected by my newly installed XP Pro (legal copy). Can I 'make' it be accepted or could I update for free? I still don't have any Antivirus software loaded.
Thanks for your time.

In what way is it rejected? Specifically, what error message do you get?

Had a look at the Norton site and as has been said looks like the version you have is not compatible as if it was 3 years ago it probably is version 6. For the compatible ones click here and wait for the redirect.
