When attempting to start up my Norton 2002 programme (which has been running satisfactorily until very recently) I get the following message

"Norton Integrator could not initialize the current frame class. Please make sure that you did not directly run the integrator."

Any one know what this means and how can I solve it?

Sounds like you may have installed a "dodgy" update....

Reinstall the program(s) and that should help, but you will have to download ALL the updates again...

Further to my problem listed it appears to be wider than Norton other programmes cannot find "Missing export MFC42.DLL:6930" and other numbers following MFC.DLL:

Have I lost a common file from Windows? If so how can I regain it without a complete Windows reload?
