Norton, is currently putting e-mails that I want into the anti spam folder, if I right click and choose "This is not Spam", I get the following error message:- Msimn has caused an error in
ASENGBAY.DLL Msimn will now close.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Many thanks!

This seems to be a fault with Outlook Express and Antispam. Turn off Antispam in OE, and see if it makes a difference. If not, you probably will have to reinstall Norton Antispam.

Or,

Try this: (got this off of a forum)

First see:

Try AS again, if not:

Clear the Temporary Internet Files. In IE>Tools>Internet Options>
Delete Files button. And check the box to Delete Offline content.

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They will eventually
become corrupted. Create your own user defined folders for storing
mail and move your mail to them. Empty Deleted Items folder regularly.

After you are done, follow up by compacting your folders manually
while working *offline* and do it often.

Click on Outlook Express at the top of the folder tree so no folders
are open. Then: File>Work Offline (or double click Working Online in
the Status Bar).
File>Folder>Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the
compacting is completed.

In Tools>Options>Maintenance: Uncheck Compact messages in background
and leave it unchecked. {N/A if running XP/SP2}.

Installing SP2 is not the fix for this. That said, when you have
everything in working order, I highly suggest you download SP2 again,
and make sure that your anti-virus is disabled when you download SP2,
or any other Windows Update. Make sure no other windows are open
either.

I wiil keep looking...

remove Norton

before reinstaling type in run in the start menu %TEMP%

clear the contens of this folder or you may not be able to install norton!

then check all email settings are correct!

(It may be worth purchasing / upgrading to Norton IE 2005 with improved spam filters)it may be easyer though to use a web based email like yahoo giving you global acces and double the spam filtering using yahoo's own and Nortons and you can view and check spam & not from there! click here *BEN*
