Norton 2005 + Boot-up

  Digital Dezines 22:46 28 Nov 04

I'm not sure if anyone has notice, or my asumptions are correct, I have a cable modem, which as u all know are always ON. when booting up the pc, the last thing to load on my toolbar is norton. does this mean for them brief few seconds my computer is unprotected? Any replys on this would be a great help.

no it is not unprotected
Even though you dont see the icon in the task bar until last, there are services for norton which are started up before this.
I take it you have a good firewall anyway?

I have the firewall shipped with NIS, it seems to alert me to intrusions. i was told to get a naff pc and route my pc through that, that way i would not be seen on the net but i dont want to get another pc just for that reason...also is it true that hackers can infact bypass the Norton firewall?
