I've just noticed the little intrusion detection pop out globe thingy is missing at the side of the monitor.

Any ideas?

Silly question but is it hidden - click the < to expand the notification area.

Yes, I mean the firewall symbol which slides out when there is an intrusion attempt.

Double click on the green globe on the right hand side of your toolbar (near clock)
This opens internet sequrity click on the options tab click on Internet Security and then in the general page click on the "show alert Tracker" to give you a tick in the box Click on apply and it should reappear.

Close all nortons windows and carry on surfing
Good Luck

Norton 2005 obviously does away with the Alert Tracker as there is no option for it.
