This may sound a little stupid but its valid argument.

My mate has Toshiba Satellite 4030 CDT laptop. He wants to increase his RAM as he got 32MB.

Just been looking at crucial.com/uk located the model but is says it has one slot for the RAM is 32MB non-removable, but then offers 64MB and 128MB to be purchased.

eg:

So what happens if you take out the non-removable memory and insert new RAM

cheers

It means that the fixed ram of 32m can't be removed, but it has one slot that you can use, and total memory can go up to 160. J.

There is only 1 slot on the laptop for RAM and this is taken up by the 32MB or am i reading it all wrong?
