Nokia Phone 6021 Welcome/Goodbye Screen

Ok, so I know that this isn't a stricly PC based problem but I don't know where else to go!

I have recently been given a 6021 mobile phone in which I am using my existing o2 pay as you go sim card. The phone was previously used on the Vodaphone network and when I turn it on & off get Vodaphone welcome and goodbye messages. As I am not with Vodaphone I don't particularly want these.

Is there a way of accessing the phone's registry to remove them or replace them with o2 ones? If so how do you do it?

Dont think there is, I have one that has been unlocked and still gets the screens, also the MMS still only works with a vodafone chip. Keep the phone on, then it wont annoy you ;-)
