No XP Printer sharing on hybrid 98se/XP home net

  ADELLA30 21:23 01 Jul 03

Network consists of; host AMD 2000+ (desktop), client1 Pentium 866 (desktop), client2 Sony PCG-GRX316 Laptop
O/S: Desktops Windows 98SE, Laptop XP Pro
Host printer is HP PhotoSmart P1000. XP driver for printer has been loaded in laptop
The system is hardwired (Cat5e cable) File sharing can be accessed on all three, and client1 can share host printer.
Problem: Client2 (laptop) cannot acquire printer
Restrictions: Location of laptop makes it impracticable to use as host.
Comments and solutions would be much appreciated
