No vhs sound on pc

I have just installed a wintv pvr pci on my pc and can get all the terrestrial channels including vhs video playing on my tv but there is no sound on the pc from the video. I have connected the s video cable to the out jack on the video recorder and the in jack on the wintv jack on my computer. There is sound from the terrestrial channels on the pc so am wondering if there is something I have not done. I have also connected a phono cable via the back of the tv to the amplifier on my hifi. Can someone help please. Liza

Hi, s video is video only, no audio. You will need to use a seperate cable, normally a phono cable to receive sound as well. Hope this helps.

you may need a scart to sv with external audio cables to connect to sound card or microphone input.

Many thanks The Old Mod and johnnyrocker.

I have had my video recorder for years on end but never bothered to use phono before. I have done this now and the pc has been blasting away like mad!
