hi guysi have looked and there are lots of posts on this but they seem to relate to desktops resulting in disable onboard and insert new soundcard.friend has new toshiba laptop. volume is up full in control panel but no sound at all either on start up beeps, media player, shut down, etc. any ideas??many thanksP
What is the model of the laptop.Meanwhile go into Control Panel click on sounds and audio and see if there is a sound card set up in your system
It may also have additional sound control from the Function Keys (ie Fn + Cursor Up / Down or some other combination). Or even an Volume knob somewhere!
My partner has a Toshiba laptop, there is a volume knob on the right hand side of the machine.Once you've found it it's hard to believe you didn't see it before, but like you, we tried all sorts (control panel, function keys, volume controls, etc) before it came to light.Maybe it's the same on your model?Terry
