Also in device manager theres an exclamation mark on Other Devices,and PCI Device.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
Ive got a dell pc,on xp home,sp2.

You may need to install the chipset drivers if it's onboard sound or the driver disk if a sound card.

Ive sorted it.I just got the driver from the dell site.

Run SIW and post your motherboard details and we can try to find the drivers click here

Also check if you have the Dell drivers and utilities disc,this will contain the motherboard drivers.

or you could phone Dell and ask them to ship one out to you,some have received these free, at worse will cost about a fiver.

Oh well,still worth ringing Dell for the driver and utilities disc,always handy...just incase of a corrupt driver.

I received a load of discs from dell this morning.They even sent me the Xp Home disk all for free;)
