No Scanner Detected?

  texter 13:42 25 Jan 11

I am running a Linux distro and have not had a single problem except now when i connected an HP PSC 1410 all-in-one and rebooted the computer. I placed a picture on the scanner bed closed the lid and clicked on Simple Scan only to be informed that no scanner was detected?

Any help or advice would be really appreciated.

I would try and install the scanner driver again.

Linux uses SANE to control scanners. You can find a list of scanners supported by SANE: click here

When I had had problems with wireless cards/dongles not being supported in Linux, I used to use NDIS wrapper which allowed Windows drivers to be used. I don't know if something similar can be done for scanners?
