No Scandisk in XP???

I have just had a power out. Three computers were on at the time; two running W98 and one with XP.

The other two went merrily through the Scandisk procedure when power came back but the XP one did apparently nothing! Further, when I searched for Scandisk, even in Add Windows Components, no sign could be found.

Is Scandisk now redundant? Is there a replacement program? Do I need to do anything about it?

In my computer right click on the drive you want to check, choose properties, tools, error checking, check now and it will prompt you to reboot...
