I am having problems with my Acer laptop powering up,it doesn't.It is an acer running windows xp.no sign of any power from the mains or the battery although there is an led working on the power transformer so the mains plug must be ok.I can not take it anywhere as the files are highly confedential due to the nature of my work, only the company who supplied it can service it and they are not arround untill monday.Problem I need to access the files before then.

That can be done as its a laptop.

You could "Wiggle" the connector around and see if anything happens.

Also the power transformer maybe at fault, could you try another one?

I haven't access to a power transformer powerless I will try to wiggle though.
thanks spartan
