I can watch DVDs using Power Cinema but I get sound and no vision with the above. What is up?

depends what you are wanting to watch some formats need diferent codecs (information that tells your media program how to decypher the film)to make them work look at the properties for the film and then do a search for the correct codec

Don't really understand this. I have put an original DVD of Bruce Almighty in the DVD playerand clicked on Properties. It says file system = UDF. Is this the codec or can I find it elsewhere? Sorry for being so numb

have you enabled all the File Types in WMP from Tools>Options>File Types tab?

If so and it's no better, try downloading the standard (4.35MB) pack of K-Lite codecs from:

which includes virtually all the codecs you will likely to need.
